Mastering Services
The mastering engineer is the last individual in a long chain of professionals who can either change and improve the quality of your music. I approach each mastering project on its own merit. I’ll look at the overall sound of your music, use various mastering tools to process, and improve your song.
If you are looking for a gear list, you will not find one. I believe that you would never ask a carpenter about all the tools they use, if asked for a custom made table. If the table needs any changes then carpenter would make the adjustments. That’s been personal philosophy.
I normally do not do stem mastering only because you should be happy with the mix. My focus is on the overall sound and not to re-mix the song by adjusting kicks, snares, etc.
If you would like to know how your song will sound professionally mastered by me at no cost. Simply please follow the requirements below and upload your song. Then I will send back a 1-2 minute sample. If you decide to use me for your project the sample song will be free, provided that the project is a minimum of 3 songs or more. If this is a single then I’ll provide a $20 discount.
- I accept WAV and AIFF files at any sample rate with 24bit or 32bit files. Generally using the same sample-rate that your DAW was set to works best.
- Please leave -3db to -12db of headroom and do not normalize and/or dither the file(s).
- If a compressor, limiter, or other type dynamics processing is on the master buss channel please disable these plugins before exporting the file(s) for mastering.

About Mastering Engineer Ambrose
My journey to becoming a mastering engineer started when I enrolled in Long Beach City College’s Recording Engineer program. Already being DJ and producer, I thought that recording would be great skill to acquire. I took a mastering class taught by mastering engineer Louie Teran and that class inspired, as well as motivated me to become a mastering engineer. After taking the class and going through several monumental life changes (marriage, new child, employment change) I have finally made this dream a reality.
